Join Us And Stand With Aussie Farmers this September

Did you know that Aussie Farmers living in remote Australia battle depression and social isolation every day? Did you know that Aussie Farmers living in remote Australia are 10 times more likely to commit suicide? Did you know that by hosting a Great Outback BBQ in September, you can help fund critical services to Aussie Farmers in the bush.

We live in a society where people are more isolated, and there’s less contact. Especially people who live in the bush. We are the companion who turns up out of the blue to lend an ear, give a helping hand, and be of service. It’s the Australian way of giving everyone a fair go, and helping each other. And we’ve been doing it for 105 years. Frontier Services is an agency of the Uniting Church in Australia and our Bush Chaplains visit thousands of Aussie Farmers every year to provide practical, pastoral and spiritual care they may not otherwise have access to. As more and more services withdraw from remote Australia, the need for Bush Chaplains and the critical help they provide increases.

You can make a real difference this September by hosting your own Great Outback BBQ! Every dollar you raise at your BBQ will help send a Bush Chaplain to knock on someone’s door to say “G’day”. Every dollar raised will provide pastoral care and support when it’s needed most. You too can stand with people in the bush.

Join in the fun this September! Register your Great Outback BBQ online today and you’ll receive your own Frontier Services Welcome Kit equipped to help make your BBQ a success. But be quick, Welcome BBQ Kits are limited!

And, if you commit to hosting a BBQ and raising $500 or more, we’ll send you your very own Premium Frontier Services Luxury BBQ Kit complete with an insulated cooler bag with everything you need to take your Great Outback BBQ anywhere.

Invite your mates, throw some snags on the barbie, tag us on social media using the hashtag #SnagsInSeptember and ask your friends to donate towards your BBQ. Bank your funds before the 31st October, and you could win some incredible prizes!

Every September, people from all over Australia gather ‘round the grill and host a Great Outback BBQ event to fundraise for Aussie Farmers doing it tough. It’s about mateship, which is what Aussies do best. See you there!
